We start with 12 months of interval data from your utility account, model the system against your demand profile, and give you a proposal with production, payback, and two prices. Then we handle permits, the structural review, the utility application, and the witness test.

Good candidates for commercial solar
- Large, unobstructed flat or south-facing roofs with 10+ years of remaining life
- Daytime-heavy loads: offices, schools, manufacturing on day shift, refrigeration
- Monthly bills above $1,000 or significant demand charges
- Owner-occupied buildings, or tenants with long leases and landlord approval
How we scope a commercial project
Every commercial proposal begins with a site audit: roof photos and measurements, the main switchgear nameplate, available breaker space, the utility meter and CT cabinet, and your interval usage data. From that we produce a preliminary design, a production estimate, and a written proposal. Structural review, drawings, and permitting follow once you approve the design.

Questions about commercial solar installation
How long does a commercial solar project take?
From signed proposal to permission to operate is typically three to five months, most of it utility and permit lead time. The installation itself is usually one to three weeks depending on system size.
Can you install solar on a leased building?
Yes, with the landlord's written approval. Many landlords welcome it as a building improvement. We can also structure the proposal so the landlord owns the system and the tenant buys the power.
Do you handle the Ameren paperwork?
Yes. We prepare the interconnection application, supply PE-stamped drawings where required, schedule the witness test, and stay on it until the meter is swapped.
